For visitors to Toronto and even Torontonians who need a temporary FULLY FURNISHED AND EQUIPPED home for more than a month, Silkwood can help find that special place. While many of our guests are involved in contracts with large corporations, we also welcome people relocating, those on professional, medical and technical programs, and some from the entertainment industry, of course!

We represent FULLY FURNISHED AND EQUIPPED residences in privately-owned homes, and unique properties, including charming apatments, condos and multi-unit mansions. Each is designed to be as "un-hotel-like" and cosy as possible, just like your own home!

Many residences have been carefully FURNISHED and proudly decorated by the owners as an extra income source. Other homes become available when owners find they need to be away from their residences for extended periods.

Silkwood Properties was created in 2001 to handle overflow from the highly successfully GLOUCESTER SUITES, which has been owned and operated by PAULETTE WARREN since 1997.

While we like to offer as wide a selection as possible to our clients, we are discriminating when it comes to standards.
The condition of each property we represent ultimately reflects us.

Many of our satisfied guests prefer residential streets, patios with gardens and barbecues, trees and NO ELEVATORS.

Most of our properties are in and around the core of Toronto, however, we do have some locations in the Beach area in the east end as well as several in the west end.

PRICING RANGES FROM $1350 FOR A STUDIO TO OVER $10,000 PER MONTH!

Prices can be negotiated depending on the length of stay, time of year, and inclusions. Let's talk!

PETS AND SMOKING:

Unless otherwise arranged, all units are NON-SMOKING, NO PETS.

We do understand however, that families and their pets don't like to be separated. WE DO HAVE SOME 'PET FRIENDLY HOMES' and can sometimes convince owners who would normally not wish someone else's animals in their space, that with a... sizeable deposit 'for damages' and 'any' special cleaning required after departure, they may be willing to accommodate the whole family.

Most owners are not so forgiving regarding smoking....If you must smoke, the designated smoking area is outside the building, preferably off the premises!

SERVICES FOR OWNERS WHO WISH TO RENT THEIR HOME:

We know the temporary accommodation business from all sides! We own and operate Gloucester Suites, a Victorian Mansion in downtown Toronto with five wonderfully charming furnished apartments! We have personally rented a furnished suite for our own use due to a personal need. We represent owners who move away from their homes for temporary assignments or extended vacations. Some owners have choosen to create a great income source while their equity grows!

If your home fits our profile, and is in a popular location, we will be happy to add it to our inventory. We will visit you in your home, inspect the premises and take photographs, determine fair pricing and explain our terms and responsabilities.

On a Consulting/Fee Basis, we will be pleased to advise you of changes to your home that will make it a great temporary rental!
